Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all paid subscriptions to Kosmonia ("Service"). All payments are processed by Polar.sh acting as Merchant of Record on our behalf. Refunds are issued by Polar to the original payment method.

1. 14-day money-back guarantee

If you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription to Kosmonia, you may request a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase, no questions asked. This applies to your first purchase only.

For EU/EEA and UK consumers, this guarantee aligns with your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. By starting to use paid features immediately, you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period, but you can still request a refund within those 14 days; after the 14 days, the right of withdrawal is exhausted as performance is complete with respect to the period already used.

2. Free 14-day Studio trial

The in-app Studio trial is free and one-time per account. It does not require a payment method. At the end of the 14 days you are automatically returned to the free Free tier; you are not charged unless you separately subscribe to a paid plan.

3. Renewal refunds

Subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are non-refundable after the first 14 days of the renewal period have passed, except where required by applicable law. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel auto-renewal in Settings → Manage subscription before the renewal date.

For renewals charged within the last 14 days, you may request a full refund of that renewal charge if you have not made substantial use of paid features during that period. We assess "substantial use" reasonably and in good faith.

4. Annual subscriptions

Annual plans are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase or the annual renewal. After 14 days, we may at our discretion offer a prorated refund for the unused portion, minus any discount you received versus the monthly price.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel auto-renewal at any time from Settings → Manage subscription, which opens the secure Polar customer portal. Cancellation:

• Stops future renewals.
• Lets you keep paid access through the end of your current billing period.
• Does not delete your account or data; you remain on the Free tier afterward.

6. Refunds we cannot offer

• Charges older than 14 days, except as required by mandatory consumer law.
• Accounts terminated for material breach of our Terms of Service.
• Indirect costs (e.g. lost productivity, third-party AI provider charges incurred via your own configured API key).

7. How to request a refund

Email info@mo-zayed.com from your account email with:

• Your account email and tier (Focus / Studio / etc.)
• Order date and approximate amount, or the Polar order/receipt ID if available
• A short reason (optional, but helps us improve)

We aim to respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Polar.sh and typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

8. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most billing issues can be resolved quickly. Chargebacks initiated without giving us a chance to resolve the issue may result in suspension of your account.

9. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your statutory rights under applicable consumer-protection law, including the EU/EEA 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Rights Directive, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and Egyptian consumer law.
